Client: Conor Medsystems
Project: Building F Renovations (Menlo Park)
Scope of seismic upgrades included clean room facilities and adjacent tenant spaces to Conor Medsystems. Upgrades adhere to applicable current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) compliance requirements, as stated in the 1938 Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act (Section 501B).
The approximated 10,000 sq. ft. clean room construction supports drug-eluting stent development for treating reperfusion injury and metabolic syndrome restenosis. Upgrades were limited to existing tissue culture, biology and chemistry laboratories. An emergency generator (1 MEG) and chemical storage building (250 sq. ft.) comprised further technical upgrades.
Adjacent tenant room upgrades included conference rooms, receiving and restrooms. An approximated 20,000 sq. ft. demolition preceded renovations.
