Project: Renovations (San Mateo)
In addition to a newly constructed, 37,000 square foot vivarium, RC Benson & Sons made the following laboratory additions: glass wash; robotica; darkroom; warmroom; tissue culture; and wet laboratories. A newly constructed cage wash facility features three cage washers; also two autoclaves were constructed. Further system upgrades included an Edstrom watering and watchdog security system. Moreover, renovations to major holding rooms featuring supportive and technology areas completed.
New roofing equipment, amounting up to 100,000 lbs., included the following: new air handlers; cooling tower; boilers; system and lon digital control system. Further roofing upgrades included supportive steel structures and roof screen extensions.
Service yard installations included the following: boiler room; chiller room; emergency generator enclosure. Supportive equipment-i.e. VAC & CAD-also installed.
